My first interest in photography started in my mid teens and I became the family photographer on many a trip into Europe, always in August and always in a tent. 

I was fortunate to choose when to retire and did so earlier than many of my peers.  Fortunate, also to enjoy good health and as my wife Jean retired at the same time we have explored many parts of the world since and continue to do so. 

So, with all this travelling it will come as no surprise that I have a back catalogue of sunny climes and not much else. Hence my reason to join the Club, to seek out inspiration and encouragement from others; but mostly motivation to get the cameras out at times other than when travelling. I am already reaping the benefits.
